Public transportation

After class today.
My instructor went too long with lecture which made me miss my bus which made me miss my ferry and I finally got to the ferry and the next ferry is minimum 30 min late.
Don't worry though. It's Friday. I'm just glad I'm going to be home with my man!

Easter weekend

Oh my goodness, this was a great weekend! I love having Naima she makes the weekend EXTRA worth while to come home. We went to Gav's moms place who is right on a lake where they stalk bass (I think its bass anyways...) We were down there on the dock for about 30 min and Gav and Naima caught 5 fish! I couldn't believe it! We kept 2 for Gav's mom and step dad then threw the rest back.
While we were down there this beautiful eagle flew soo close to us! She was trying to get one of the fish we caught that was laying on the dock. I grabbed on to Naima so fast. Motherly instincts are present. Eventhough I know she is much to big to grab there will be no chances taken! lol

The little sweetie had her easter ears on all day hopping around like a bunny.

Our little easter bunny. My momma gave her a yo-yo, silly putty and crayons. The same things she got when she was a little girl. She is getting pretty good with the yo-yo, she stuck to it until she got it. Just like her daddy for sure!
First thing in the morning we had a big easter egg hunt in the house and presents at the foot of her bed with easter bunny tracts all around the house where he dropped eggs. She couldn't believe it! I love the face of an excited little girl!

Oh craziness

Alright world. I had a great long weekend and now I'm heading to Vancouver as I type this. It's going to be crazy couple of weeks! I am ready for anything. All I have to do to pass this semester is 3 cumulative final exams and a whole whackadoodle amount of projects.

Only 10 sleeps until a whole week off! Oh I cannot wait!

Just my life

Its easter long weekend!
Oh happy  days.
I got back last night, headed over to our friends place and watched the Canucks get their butt kicked, Its ok next game.
Anyways its Friday and I have been studying all morning. Exams will be coming up soon for the end of the semester then only 63 sleeps until summer!
Later I am heading to Duncan for my younger twin sisters birthday. They are turning 5. Sheesh cannot believe it! I will post pictures when I get back. They are becoming all grown up.
Gav is going to get Naima today too. We have cleaning plans sometime this weekend too... Lame I know. But hopefully we will sneak in a bike ride and a sail in Gavs homemade boat. Ohh that sounds great! I think we should probably bring out Naima's jeep too. She can ride it around the field right across the street while we jog it for some exercise. Oh yes that sounds like fun too!

My goodness we have such a great life! I am never leaving this house, I mean besides my temporary move to Vancouver...
Tonight I will be putting paper all over the wall to figure out this oral pathology stuff. Have a lower one so Naima can draw on it. Oh yes another great ideal! Ill post pictures. I love this craziness.

We picked up a whole bunch of easter things for a treasure hunt Sunday morning. We have to do the whole thing, leave a carrot for the easter bunny and a trail of the colorful grass where he jumped from one spot to the other and a present at the end of her bed of course! Oh how fun!

Monday will be a study day too. Yes, it will. I am excited to have the studying done.

Yeah I know another school blog post.
But guess what?! I passed my debride task. Huzzah! That means I know how to safely and effectively remove tartar.

On another note. I was on the bus today (of course) and no, no one smelt like pee. BUT... there were 4 different people talking on their phones on the bus each in a different language. How cool is that?! You would not see that many places.

LA

We have officially learnt 5 LA (local anesthetic) injection sites! My friend gave me 3, and I gave her 3 today and did really well! So proud!
Its pretty amazing, I have watched my boss do soo many every day and now I am the one doing them!
The nasopalatine kinda hurts and there is no getting around it. Oh well!

I hate it when people smell like pee.

Vancouverites

Definition of what a Vancouverite looks like:
wears black, headphones in ears, and newspaper under arm. They are old, young, and generally have an outrageous style.

It happened. I was in all black, newspaper under my arm and riding the bus. I am not found to lie though. I am terrified to wear headphones while I'm walking or on. The bus in Vancouver. What happens if something (not sure what) but something scary or someone attacks me and I could have prevented it by hearing it wad going to happen. Anyways. I will never be a true Vancouverite because I cannot wear headphones in the city.

I want to prove this point right now. I am wearing headphones on the ferry right now as I type this. A man just came up beside me to clean up a huge mess. I didn't even hear a mess occur. Blast. What mess? Watcha cleaning up? Then I look down and both my bags are on the ground abd wet. Blast indeed! I don't want to know what it is... I'm going to just ignore this situation and NOT take off my headphones. Lol

Alright back to studying then enjoy this amazing weekend!

Life lessons

This week? So far so good!
I guess it is only Tuesday... but who cares?! Only 2 more sleeps until its home time. My client came in a second time today. She might have dementia... Its the first time I have ever encountered this. She told me something, I said "You told me that just a second ago." She said "no I didn't" Then she did it again 3 times...
It breaks my heart to see this happen to people. She is very fit, goes for walks everyday and eats very healthy. She lives alone and barely sees her two grown children. No grandchildren.

I hope to NEVER be alone.
